Shoppers will find the best deals at Ecologie Consignment and Vintage without having to
sacrifice their personal style. Step inside and you will see wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-floor
clothing and accessories.
Store manager Gabrielle Byndloss guarantees anyone could find at least one thing he or she likes.
Storeowners Nancie Vann and Deanna Fiveash loved the style and clothing at stores Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters, but hated the high prices. In October 2010, they opened Ecologie.
Almost three years since its opening, business at this vintage-inspired consignment store is booming. Their loyal customers know when new items hit the floor and come in at least once a week looking for deals they know they’re sure to find.
Shopper Stacy Givens browses the rack of vintage clothing in the back of the store
where she says she finds inspiration for her original style.
“If I could describe the personality of our store in one word… eclectic. There isn’t
one specific style here,” Byndloss said.
Byndloss has worked for Ecologie for two years and her style has since evolved.
“When I first started working here I was afraid of mixing styles. Ecologie has helped
me see that there is so much more out there in the fashion world for creativity,” Byndloss said.
Byndloss says her hope for the future is that Ecologie will grow to multiple locations
across the U.S. and become a place where customers can shop, have coffee and hang out with friends.
