Sixthman, a company that specializes in creating and producing music festivals for the Norwegian Pearl, has an interesting fall 2015 cruise line up planned.

It was recently announced that the line up includes the Mad Decent Boat Party, the KISS Cruise V, and the 2nd Annual Florida Georgia Line: This is How We Cruise.

Tanner Smith, senior talent buyer at Sixthman, explains that these cruises are one of a kind and that it is important for cruisers to be able to connect with the bands on a more personal level.

“A lot of what we do at Sixthman is experience based, so I try to get the bands involved with things that they wouldn’t normally be involved in,” Smith said.

Some activities that bands have previously participated in on these cruises are things like hosting belly flop competitions and karaoke contests. Other common events and activities that cruisers can participate in are group yoga sessions, basketball games, drinking games like “boozical” chairs, and going on excursions once arriving at the destination.

However, Smith said, “Each cruise is different and draws a totally different audience.”

For instance, the person who is into electronic dance music and the rave like party scene would enjoy the Mad Decent Boat Party. With an 18 to 25 year old demographic, Smith says, “This is more of a nighttime crowd that parties until around 5 a.m.”

This cruise is expected to host various disk jockeys that have yet to be announced.

Overall, this year’s Mad Decent Boat Party is expected to be full of high energy, dancing, and fun activities.

On a different note, if you are a die-hard rocker, the KISS cruise is the right experience for you. The world-renowned rock band KISS will be performing on this cruise.

“The fans dress up like KISS, paint their faces, and are all about KISS.” he said, “Cruisers can expect this years theme to be centered around the year 1975.”

This cruise is more focused on the actual band and many people who go on this cruise are likely to be dedicated KISS fans.

Continually, for the cruiser who listens to new country and mainstream music, the Florida Georgia Line: This is How We Cruise is the best cruise for you. Florida Georgia Line, one of the hottest new bands in the country, will be performing. Like the Mad Decent Boat Party, many 18 to 25 year olds attend this cruise. It will be a fun and relaxing experience that will feature other opening acts and activities that are currently being determined.

“This cruise is more popular for daytime partiers,” Smith said, and the partying starts to slow down around 2 a.m.

Emily Lord, Sixthman marketing and social media intern and Kennesaw State University student said, “We are starting to break into the younger generation of music goers, and the Mad Decent Boat Party and Florida Georgia Line cruise are definitely going to be really cool college type cruises.”

So, if you’re looking to treat yourself to an early graduation present or a getaway with friends, you can check out the Sixthman website, Facebook, and Instagram pages to get your tickets and stay in the loop for future cruises.

Lord says, “The music festivals at Sixthman are an experience that you’re just not going to get at a regular concert, and it’s a great experience to share with your friends.”
