Kennesaw State University has recently started a new charity chapter to try and make a difference in global poverty.
The charity is Souls4Soles, which collects shoes for children in need.
“I am passionate about shoes, and know that there are kids out there who need our used shoes more than we do,” said Alex Glick, founder, KSU Souls4Soles
Souls4Soles is a nationwide charity. It looks for new or gently used shoes to donate to under privileged kids. The KSU chapter is mostly in need of children’s shoes, as well as shoes for high-schoolers who can wear adult sizes.
“Our goal as college students is to do what we can,” Marielea Zajac, member of Souls4Soles said. “At the end of the day we just want to help people in need. If you have extra shoes lying around, just donate them to someone who needs them more.”
The KSU chapter works with the local organization, “The Boys and Girls Club” and donates shoes to the children in need there.
