More than 30 of the merchants around Marietta Square and the surrounding blocks hosted artists outside their storefronts. Some even opened their doors and hung signs to advertise the art inside as well as their shops.

Each artist claimed a small section of the street, leaning their work on the trees or by a wall. The works were diverse, and each turn of the corner provided something new for viewers. All artistic media was considered for the Art Walk, as long as it was original work.

Musical performers could be found along the walk and their music filled the street. This artist projected his original songs through a microphone and speaker as families watched and enjoyed the sound.

The Art Walk continued from 5 to 9 in the evening, and it provided a free, self-guided tour of the historic square and its businesses. The Art Walk will continue each first Friday this year until November.
