ATLANTA, Ga. — Chick-fil-A partnered with Thrive Farmers Coffee in August, 2014 to provide specialty-grade coffee to customers and enhance its rank in the restaurant coffee competition.

While the new coffee at Chick-fil-A has received many great reviews and has raised sales since its release, many customers are unaware of the sustainable side of Thrive Farmers Coffee.

Thrive Farmers coffee is based out of Roswell, Georgia. This company was born out of a passion to help poor coffee farmers in South and Central America. The mission of Thrive Farmers is to provide not only good coffee, but fair coffee. This mission is centered on providing fair jobs and wages to farmers, while sustainably growing quality coffee. The company’s primary goal is to promote fairness by ensuring that its partnering farmers receive their share of the revenue. In everything the company does, they strive to bring equal opportunities to farmers across the globe and invest in their lives.

“We reflected on feedback from our customers who expressed that they wanted a better cup of coffee, and we found a partner who brought the added expertise we needed,” said David Farmer, vice president of product strategy and development for Chick-fil-A. “The true magic of this relationship is that not only does the coffee taste great, [but] we also found a partner who shares our belief that business can be bigger than the bottom line.”

Although Chick-fil-A is already a highly esteemed company for its strong emphasis in customer service, partnering with Thrive Coffee has already begun to increase Chick-fil-A’s sales. Not only has the taste of the coffee itself improved, but also many customers have begun to purchase Chick-fil-A coffee after discovering the sustainable and humanitarian efforts Thrive Farmers Coffee makes.

“While consumers are moving at an increasing rate to high-quality coffee in the marketplace, we believe that Thrive Farmers has seen such a rapid growth because consumers desire transparency,” said Michael Jones, founder and CEO of Thrive Farmers. “Our company provides the ability to connect with farmers and have a positive impact on their lives.”

Since this partnership began, Thrive Farmers impact has begun to expand greatly as a result of association with such a respected and well-known company as Chick-fil-A.

“Our partnership with Chick-fil-A is rooted in a shared commitment to providing quality coffee while impacting farmers and their communities,” said Jones. “By partnering with Chick-fil-A’s 1,800 plus restaurants, we have together an unprecedented opportunity to expand the impact of our farmer-direct platform and allow Chick-fil-A’s customers to know the positive impact they are having on the farmers who grow their coffee.”

Collaborating with Chick-fil-A has built connections for Thrive Farmers Coffee to expand its name and mission. Although some are still unaware of the message behind the coffee, Thrive Farmers is rapidly seeking out opportunities to share their story.

“Now we are able to serve our customers an amazing cup of coffee that also will improve the lives of the farmers who grow it,” said Farmer.
